“LET’S SING TO LEARN” – Educational songs for kids
INSPIRING, CELEBRATING & CONNECTING SONGS TO EARLY CHILDHOOD & EARLY PRIMARY SCHOOLS SYLLABUS

Plato once said that Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education”
Video:  Prue Whoo explains her passion for using music to educate and gives an example.

PRUE WHOO’S PASSION IS MUSIC, KIDS & EDUCATION.
Prue Whoo has written two curriculum based programs called “Let’s Sing To Learn” (one for Early Childhood 0 – 5 yrs EYLF based) and another for Early Primary Kindergarten – Year 2  (all KLA’s) that uses music & her original songs directly linked to the school syllabus outcomes and objectives.  This allows the classroom teacher to deliver content based lessons (included in the program) using the powerful tool of music & songs without having to sing a note OR play a musical instrument!   It is an engaging, interactive & simple, yet is a proven & effective method of just how powerful music can be as an educational tool. Children learn easily because it is fun. Her anti-bullying children’s book is also based on her song  13 Its Ok To Be Different

Let’s Learn to Sing is a fabulous program designed to help K-2 teachers link music to the school curriculum in a classroom environment.  It’s fun, easy to put into practice and, most importantly, really engages the kids.  Music is such a vital part of our daily life – it enhances our wellbeing both physically and spiritually.  Plus kids learn quickly when given the opportunity to put thoughts and concepts into song – even abstract concepts such as co-operation.  I encourage any primary teacher to give Prue’s method a try.  You’ll enjoy the experience and your students will thank you with big smiles!

‘These resources are cleverly and creatively designed for the primary class room teacher. They integrate and work across the KLA’s to deliver a comprehensive swag of materials that engage and stimulate student learning in a fun and proactive way’
Dr Terrence Hays, Senior Lecturer in Music EducationSchool of Education, University of New England, PhD (UNE), M Ed Hons, BA, DSCM, Dip Ed.

“It is an outstanding music program for the conventional classroom teacher who doesn’t have specialist music training. I would recommend it to any classroom teacher wishing to improve the quality of their classroom music program”
Richard Van Lieven, Music Specialist, Currambine Primary School WA

‘This is a fabulous resource for early childhood teachers who are floundering with EYLF to integrate the program with music and songs which are linked to the EYLF outcomes.  This will save hours and hours of work for us’!!    Kate – Hopscotch Boambee Preschool/Long Day Care

My 2 girls (3 & 6yrs old) watch you over & over & over & over & over again!!  They love The Happy Face Song, and the song where all the animals make the wrong noises!!  (YouTube). They pretty much know all the words & sing along with you! Its great!  So thankyou for keeping them entertained with your songs, while I enjoy some peace & quiet for a while!

Are you a parent? Can you remember your primary school days?  I do and I remember how happy those days were. Especially kindergarten, but what made this class so memorable was the music we had during class.  Music, no matter what kind, assists and is beneficial to learning.  Music equals happiness to children and a happy class is a learning class.
And, don’t forget to continue this learning through music at home.
